Description
Following the Battle of the Bulge, many unexploded mines and bombs were scattered about the territory of the Belgian Ardennes. The Belgian government gave its bomb disposal experts the responsibility of destroying them. Unfortunately, several of these were killed in the course of their work. The “Croix des Démineurs », at Moinet, is a reminder that three of these bomb disposal experts were killed at that spot on the 30th August 1945. (Text source by MT du Pays de Bastogne)
