Private property, the castle, classed in 1976, is closed to the public. Despite that, we can still admire the Casaquy cross against the castle wall. This large cross stands on two tombstones where Henri-Ignace Casaquy and Marie-Emilie Casaquy, ex lords of Roumont, are buried. Important and famous travelers used to stop over at the castle of Roumont, among them Metternich, the count of Artois, future Charles X, and, in 1781, Emperor Joseph II came to pay a visit to the Haut Gruyer of his Woods, Henri-Ignace Casaquy.
